I must warn you who bring children below age of 5 not to take the mini train ride. If you bring young children spare some time in the baby animal zoo to see the birds and take photo with baby animals.

We left ours in the cars then got stuck in the cable car station for almost an hour to wait until the rain became lighter. If you visit TSI during rainy season carry along umbrellas. There are also food court and souvenir shops that look interesting. But we did stop by at the cafe near the baby animal zoo where they sells bakery and ice cream. We did not bother to try the attractions and the Rainforest restaurant as they look not very well maintained. We tried the Cable Car instead the Train Travel, both require to purchase tickets, it is a good way to see the whole theme park if you do not have so much time.

All shows are free but come early to get the best seats. You can -legally- feed the elephants and to take photo with them after the show. We really enjoyed the Elephant Show and the Tiger Show. Check out for the animal shows timetable on the map. Make sure your car is not too low to pass through the man-made creeks. We hope TSI staff would care enough to speak to these visitors for the sake of animal safety. This causing cars queue along the track and some animals would approach the cars hoping to be fed. You can find many carrot sellers on the way to TSI. Sadly most people just don't care to feed the animals with carrots. It is written on the TSI map that visitors are not allowed to feed the animals and to keep themselves in the vehicles. Though we were not lucky enough to try the Safari Night, we are happy to see improvement on the safari track and animals variety.

Always like this place as a child and been curious with the Safari Night. If you go from Jakarta make sure you leave home very early before 6 AM and check the schedule of one way traffic in Puncak area in TSI website. We were thinking about staying at Royal Safari or Taman Safari Lodge but their newly renovated rooms were fully booked. Puncak area has widely known with its heavy traffic during weekend and holidays so we decided to stayed the night before in Novotel Bogor. We went to Taman Safari Indonesia (TSI) on weekday during the school holiday.
